Description:
The tale of biting my tongue is an original abstract painting that explores the strange theatre of everyday life through humour, discomfort, appetite, and memory. Layered with gestural marks in pink, red, black, white and pale blue against a muted beige ground, the work feels chaotic, intimate, and emotionally charged.
Fragments of handwritten text move across the surface like overheard thoughts or half-remembered warnings, touching on childhood, bodily sensation, sweetness, blood, and the uneasy edge between comfort and harm. The composition is restless and playful, balancing raw painterly movement with a feeling of psychological tension.
